A Unique Dining Experience at Ciel Tower

High above Dubai Marina, where the skyline dissolves into the Arabian Gulf, Tattu Dubai unfolds as a theatrical dining destination inside Ciel Tower, the forthcoming world’s tallest hotel. Designed by Studio WYZE, the restaurant blends contemporary Asian aesthetics with immersive hospitality design. This environment is built for atmosphere as much as for architecture.

For Edmon Leong, a photographer known for capturing luxury hospitality interiors across the Middle East and Asia, the assignment was clear: translate a multi-sensory restaurant experience into a visual narrative that feels cinematic, immersive, and unmistakably Dubai. The result is a series of images that document not just the design of Tattu Dubai, but also the energy of the space itself.

A Restaurant in the World’s Tallest Hotel

Tattu Dubai sits within Ciel Tower in Dubai Marina, a landmark development by The First Group and designed by global architecture firm NORR. Rising approximately 365 metres, the tower will redefine Dubai’s hospitality skyline when completed.

Positioned high within the tower’s hospitality levels, the restaurant benefits from dramatic views across Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and the open sea. Adjacent to the venue is an outdoor pool terrace, creating a rare spatial pairing: elevated dining alongside a skyline pool environment.

For architectural photography, location is everything—and Ciel Tower delivers it in abundance. The restaurant becomes part of a larger architectural story: a luxury hospitality destination suspended above the city.

Studio WYZE and the Art of Immersive Dining

The interior design, led by Studio WYZE, reinterprets the signature visual language of the Tattu brand through a contemporary lens. The space embraces drama. Think sculptural installations, layered lighting, dark, seductive materials, and the unmistakable presence of Tattu’s iconic cherry blossom trees, suspended like a floating canopy above the dining floor.

The design unfolds like a cinematic set. Guests move through a sequence of spatial moments—from arrival to bar to dining areas—each revealing new perspectives and textures. Studio WYZE’s approach is rooted in experiential hospitality design, where architecture is not just seen but felt.

The Photographer’s Perspective

Capturing a restaurant like Tattu Dubai requires more than documenting a finished interior. It demands architectural storytelling. For Edmon, the process begins with understanding the spatial choreography of the venue. He considers how guests enter, how light moves across surfaces, and how the design reveals itself throughout the evening.

Wide compositions establish the scale of the architecture and skyline views.

Close details highlight the materials, lighting, and craftsmanship. The goal is simple but powerful: let the design speak.

Timing also plays a crucial role. As daylight fades over Dubai Marina, the restaurant’s lighting design gradually takes over—transforming the space into a rich, atmospheric environment. This transition between natural and artificial light becomes one of the defining moments in the photographic narrative.

The Pool Terrace: Dubai Dining Meets Skyline Leisure

One of the most distinctive aspects of Tattu Dubai is its outdoor pool terrace within Ciel Tower. Few restaurants combine fine dining with elevated poolside architecture, particularly at this height above the city.

From a photography perspective, the pool deck introduces contrast: open skies, reflective water surfaces, and sweeping urban views counterbalance the darker, more intimate interior spaces. This interplay between interior drama and exterior openness gives the project its visual rhythm.

Architectural Photography That Captures Experience

Luxury hospitality design is increasingly about experience-driven environments—spaces designed for atmosphere, storytelling, and visual identity. For architects, designers, and hospitality brands, photography becomes the bridge between the built project and the global audience that discovers it online.

This is where Edmon Leong focuses his craft: producing imagery that communicates the architectural intent, the mood of the space, and the brand narrative behind the design. From Dubai’s most ambitious restaurants to international hospitality projects, the work centers on one idea: great design deserves powerful imagery.
